I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family again. Meet Tim, Lisa, Piper and Tucker! Aren't they just the sweetest little family ever?! Fall season is my absolute favorite when it comes to family pictures. My sister in law Lisa found this bridge and it didn't disappoint. What a great way to start out the season!!! Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails that's what Little Boys are made of!!! These pictures tell the story of a three year old little boy who embodies all of that! Bryer boy LOVES the mud, playing in the water, throwing rocks, chasing frogs, squeezing his puppy, "working" on the farm, and making silly faces and mean muggin! He also has a sweet side to which he gives the BEST HUGS around the neck, says "I wuv you so much" several time a day, and is the first to say "I'm sorry". He is exactly what little boys are made of!!! He is about to start preschool and I giggle thinking about his teachers because he may give them a few head scratches. Lol =) But we wouldn't have him any other way! Happy 3rd Birthday Bryer Jack!!! We sure LOVE the stink out of you!!!
Meet the Ruskamp kiddos!!! The boys are seriously not only extremely handsome but a hoot to shoot! I love their energy and playfulness. Mama wanted to get in a few pictures before the school year started and we had a great time doing that. Meet Miss Blakely Sue!!! What a sweetheart! We had fun getting to know each other and my goodness she is adorable. I got a kick out of her little personality. She chased a lot of ducks, played in the tent, read some books, ate some skittles and giggled a whole lot. It was a joy to capture her. Oh to be two again!! Even though she probably keeps her Mommy and Daddy busy I don't think they would have it any other way. Enjoy!!!
Please meet the newest little miracle that joined our family... Adley Grace Riggins. Isn't she just the sweetest little thing. She proved to everyone from the get go how brave and strong she was. She continues to impress Mommy and Daddy with all of the milestones she is hitting and they couldn't love her more. I was the lucky one who got to take her pictures and do lots of cuddling in between shots. She sure is beautiful and we are certainly blessed to have her in our family. Enjoy!!!
So I'm a bad Auntie. These pictures are from Miss Laiklynn's six month shoot and she's eight months already. Oops! Better late than never right?! Anyway there were way too many to pick from so that's part of the reason it's taken me so long and isn't she beautiful just like her Mama and Sisters?! She really did make my job easy! Meet the Soares Family!!! We obviously did this shoot before Christmas but I'm behind in getting all of these posted to the blog. It was a very cold and rainy day. We debated re-scheduling because of it but decided what the heck lets make it happen and we did! Meet the Kroger Family!!! Eric, Lindsay and their adorable kids Jace, Jezlynn, Jentry and Jolee. I cannot take the cuteness in all of these pictures. We had a fun time down in the Haymarket capturing some fun family shots for them. Sometimes it's challenging to get four kids to cooperate for family pictures but let me tell you... These four made it easy. They were all so great and I'm glad we were able to get a glimpse of each of their personalities. And their outfit coordination was on point! Love this family!!!
I'm posting this late but better late than never right?! We did a quick session with The Kellogg Family before Christmas. How lucky am I that I get to take pictures my sweet Family?! This is my Uncle Lynn and Aunt Kay with cousins Mandy, Lindsay, Ben and their families. I adore them all and even though it snowed the night before, we made the best of it and captured some fun group shots in the freezing cold. Look at those littles... Aren't they just the cutest?! Enjoy!
Emma was our beautiful and loyal Weimaraner for 13 years. We had to say goodbye to her the week before Thanksgiving and even though we knew it was coming, it didn't make things any easier. She could barely put pressure on her back legs anymore, which made walking very hard for her. She was so full of life in her eyes, but her body was giving out on her. The cancer had taken over and it was time to say our goodbyes.
Before that dreadful day we decided to make the most of the time we had with her. We gave her some of her favorite things... Cookies, steak and bacon! We gave her extra hugs and pet her extra long! We took her for a special bath and massaged her old body. We took off on a beautiful fall afternoon to Mahoney State Park. We grabbed the old wagon and the kids and I pulled her around as she smiled from ear to ear. You could just see the happiness in her eyes as Everlee and Bryer ran around and entertained her. Since the day I brought her home as a puppy, she would tilt her head to the side when I talked to her, and that day was no different. I giggled as she tilted her head to the side and locked eyes with me as I asked her if she wanted to ride in the wagon a little longer. And then the last week we went over to Drew and Hunter's house and decided to take her to the park by their house. It was a bit colder, the leaves were falling everywhere and her best friend Bristol was with us. It was the perfect time to capture some pictures of them all together. Even though her spirits were not up that day and she was clearly in some pain, we were still able to help her around and have some cherished time with her all together one last time. Gosh I loved that damn dog. And even though she is no longer by our side, she will forever live in all of our hearts.

Better late than never... Introducing the newest member of our Family... Laiklynn Reign Schmid!!! Her Stats: 8 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches long. She has the most beautiful complexion and a little bit of pretty dark hair. Her siblings are pretty excited about her and Mommy and Daddy are so in love!!! Meet the Winton Family. They were such a hoot to shoot. They not only came with great outfits but fun ideas which I LOVE!!! Surprisingly, Dad went along with most of the ideas (which honestly, you don't see very often so hats off to him). Ha! They were obviously gorgeous and very sweet to boot. Faith and Rowan were a dream to capture. I love little girls who have a mix of shyness, beauty and sass! We even snapped some fun soccer shots at the end because that's what the girls are really into right now. What a nice family!!! I hope you all enjoy!!!
Meet the Bacons... Another beautiful family that I had the pleasure of photographing. There are six little cousins to keep their family gatherings loads of fun with two sets of twins and oh my are they cute little nuggets!!! I got to travel to their family farm for the pics and even though it was a windy day, we were able to find a great tree line to help break the wind. We sure had some laughs trying to wrangle everyone in for some smiles! The Donovan Family is hitting the blog tonight!!! How cute are they? Don't you just love the coordinating leopard patterns with Mom and Daughter. They have always been such a sweet and fun family. Also a really neat thing about this shoot was when Dad said they brought Kansas City Royals gear to change into for a picture because they were huge fans!!! And that night the Royals were playing Game 5 which meant if they won, they would be crowned the World Series Champions. Well guess what folks... They won that night!!! Pretty cool to have a picture to look back on and say we had those pictures taken the same day the Royals won the World Series!!! Such a great idea! Enjoy!!!
What a hoot this family was. It was a just joy to spend the afternoon with them. A little leaf fight and some smirky look exchanges made for a lot of laughs. We had some beautiful fall trees to go with this great looking family!!! I hope that you enjoy them!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting the adorable Johnson family and although it was a bit windy and a little chilly, they were all such troopers!!! Little Erik was a doll with those baby blues and you could see the love his Mommy and Daddy have for him by the tender way they watched over him. Take a look at this sweet family!!!
I LOVE October!!! And this October night was spent with two beautiful girls and their beautiful horses. This fall session really couldn't have gone any better. We had adorable girls, well behaved gorgeous horses and simply amazing weather. I'm telling you... After I left I wanted a horse for my little girl. It was just such wonderful thing to see such sweet companionship between them. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!!!
In just a few short weeks a new baby girl will be joining the family!!! Everyone is very eager to meet the newest little princess, so to honor that special occasion we had a photo shoot. After a few sweet maternity shots of my glowing sister, we of course had to capture the rest of the beautiful family. And although a couple of the peeps in the group weren't exactly thrilled, (hint hint... the boys) they did go along with my crazy requests. I get it, they are thinking "let's get this over with". Ha! But one of my favorite memories of this session had to be seeing my youngest niece Tatym giggle with excitement and flash her biggest smile when she heard the princess name "Rapunzel" shouted!!! It almost guaranteed us her attention. Ha! It's definitely something I won't forget! So in the end I'm so happy we were able to capture some memorable shots that they can look back at with a smile.

On the blog today... Miss Lily who happens to be an adorably cute three year old. She was equal parts sweet and sassy. I loved capturing not only her beauty but also those random funny moments where she was interested in doing other things. Like holding the sign with her little teeth or trying to fly away with the balloons. She was a hoot. Her personality was perfect for a little teepee set up outside. I sure had fun shooting this little princess. We were also able to capture a couple of family pics while we were there. I hope you all enjoy this session as much as I did!!!
It's so hard to believe that this little man is turning two today!! He loves tractors, diggers, trucks and cars. He always wants to be outside playing in the dirt or sand, riding on a tractor or in equipment on the farm. He also LOVES to copy what sissy is doing which at times makes her crazy but is pretty darn cute. Giggle! He is also very sweet. He gives the best hugs and kisses around and at bedtime LOVES to snuggle in with Mama for a good book. One of my favorite things is when he says "Mama's boy" in his sweet two year old voice... I die. As far as smarts, he can count to 10, sing his ABC's (even though some of the letters don't come out perfectly) , identify a couple of colors and is great with puzzles. Laughable moments with him range from getting caught drinking toilet water with sissy's tea cup, leaving a "skid mark" on sissy's pink rocking horse, trying out dog food with a smile, climbing out of his crib and saying "ouch hurt" multiple times and not learning his lesson, peeing on the bathroom floor and saying "ooo wet", chewing out Daddy in words that on one can understand, and so many more. He's such a loveable boy and little adventurer at the same time and we wouldn't change a thing about him.

I got to witness and remember what young love is all about this weekend. My niece Kennedy and her boyfriend Taggart (who also happens to be a good friend to my son Hunter) wanted some pictures taken before he left. You see he's in the military and has been gone for several months. He came home very early one Saturday morning and surprised my niece Kennedy... Such a sweet surprise for her and touching moment for us all to hear about. And although I wasn't able to capture that special moment I was able to capture a few before he left. They are just so darn cute!!! Seriously! They both have such kind hearts and sweet souls. Watching them giggle together from the poses we had them in and adore each other in the quieter moments was very sweet. This is why I love taking pictures. Times like these. I hope you both love them!!! Enjoy!!!
It's always the little things we find peace in. And this day, a little impromptu photo shoot with my grandparents was just that. There was such a gentleness about them. Such great love seen in their eyes. The laughter they shared and the warm feeling they radiated, gave us all a really big gift. It was an afternoon I'll hold dear to my heart forever. We took a little drive out to the old "Tree Farm" where there are childhood memories for all of us. The corn fields, the old buildings, the old vintage car, and the beautiful hills with the cows roaming... It was all the perfect backdrop for these moments. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for our story. The world became a better place with you in it.

Little Miss Ava Dean finished up her Kindergarten year and is headed off to First Grade!!! It's so hard to believe because I remember the day my sister told me she was coming and how very excited I was!!! Not only was Ava beautiful in her older sister"s cap & gown but she was so genuine in her expressions. At one point I said "Can you try to be serious in this pic?" but that was too hard because she couldn't contain her smile and laughter. Little sister Tatym who gave me some hilarious squishy funny faces joined us for some sweet shots of them together too. I sure do love these little nieces of mine!!!

Oh to be a four year old little girl again!!!! Princess dresses, heels, crowns, the fairy tales and an imagination that runs wild... My daughter Everlee lives this on a daily basis. So after some inspiration from Pinterest, I thought a princess photoshoot would be the best way to record this time in our hearts and minds forever. Tinker Bell, Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, Sofia, Elsa and Anna are some of her favorites. What fun we had these couple of hours pretending together. I hope that you enjoy!
